LAPEER STEELERS COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

This year's recipient was Rusty Mihm.  Here is a picture of him receiving the scholarship
from Donna Madeja, our General Manager.

We are proud to announce the start of a College Scholarship Fund that will be
offered to seniors in high school that meet the following requirements:

• Have played for the Lapeer Steelers for a minimum of two seasons

• Complete the official scholarship application - available at the counselor's office

• Applicant must be a senior in high school and provide official transcripts

• Applicant must be accepted at an accredited college, university or trade school and provide a copy of the acceptance letter upon receipt of check

• Applicant must submit a 500 word essay on what the Lapeer Steelers meant to them

• Applicant must be willing to return to the Lapeer Steelers banquet and speak to the current Lapeer Steelers players

The Executive Board Members of the Lapeer Steelers will select the top contenders based on the written information and the essays received.  Application forms and recommendations must be postmarked on or before April 1, 2007.
