FAQ's:

Information about Conditioning Camp:

Conditioning Camp is mandatory and free for all registered players. Non-registered boys ages 7-12 are welcome to attend fee of $50. All Lapeer Steelers that are registered must attend MANDANTORY camp. July 25 through July 29 from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.
St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School. 90 Millville Rd., Lapeer, Michigan.
Also, the "Other Bob" will be available at conditioning camp with discounted girdles for sale!


Cost for 2011 Season:

NEW PLAYERS: $175 per player with an additional $100 in fundraising. This includes the cost of a brand new Steeler game jersey with player's name on the back, which is theirs to keep after the season. Additional siblings are $125.

CHEERLEADERS: $80 per cheerleader with an additional $150 in fundraising. This includes use of Steeler cheer uniform and game day warm up. Free Cheer T-Shirt, shoes, undergarment package, socks and hair bows will also be provided and cheerleaders will keep after the season. Additional siblings are $60.

Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate and a sports physical dated after 4/1/11 is also required for your athlete before practice begins.

Ages for football 8 - 14. (Up to five 7 year olds allowed with Head Coach discretion.)

Ages for cheer 4 - 13.


RETURN PLAYERS: $125 per player with an additional $100 in fundraising.  This does not include a game jersey, if you need a new game jersey the additional cost is $50.00.

We have a copy of your child's birth certificate from last year, we should not need a new one.
A sports physical dated after 4/1/11 is also required for your athlete before practice begins.

Information about Fundraising:


We require that each football player raise $100 profit in fundraising through the season.

You have a choice of doing this in one fundraiser or over several fundraisers we offer.

The option of paying this amount outright is also given.

Information about Football Equipment Pick Up:

Pick up is at the "Dug Out." It is located behind Nowak, Poniantowski & Morgan. 385 West Nepressing Street. in the old hstoric district of downtown Lapeer.  Please bring two checks made out to Lapeer Steelers: $200 for equipment deposit, $50 for volunteer hours deposit.

You will recieve:

  • Practice Jersey and pants
  • Game Pants and Belts
  • Steelers' Helmet
  • Shoulder, Knee, and Thigh Pads
  • Socks
  • Mouthguard

These items must be returned clean and in good condition at the end of the season. You will also receive your customized game jersey which you paid for and will keep.

You must provide:

  • Cup (mandatory at all practices and games)
  • Gridle with hip and tailbone pads
  • Football cleats

All other accessories which are not mandatory such as gloves or additional protection equipment will not be provided by the Steelers, it must be purchased by the player. The "other Bob" will be at Conditioning Camp with discounted Girdles for sale!

All coaches and football players must report 1 1/2 hours prior to game time. Coaches may request players to come earlier.

All cheerleaders and staff must report 15 minutes prior to game time.

Maps and Driving Directions will open when HOME or AWAY FIELD is clicked
